My name is John Hubbard. I am the CEO of my own independent record label, New-Jazz Records. The group that is signed to my label is The Scale Breakers. We are based out of Vancouver Island, B.C. Canada. We have two music videos on Much Music and have five more that we are sending in to them as well as other stations around the world. Four of the videos are songs with legends in the hip hop industry such as Maestro Fresh Wes, Madchild from Swollen Members, Krizz Kaliko and Tech N9ne, owner of Strange Music. We are going on tour with Tech N9ne and Krizz Kaliko across Canada for only his second Canadian tour ever in May of 2011. Tech N9ne is the number 1 independent rapper in the world and his independent label, Strange Music is also number 1 in the world. Tech N9ne has recently collaborated with Lil Wayne, the number 1 mainstream rapper in the world, for Lil Wayne’s new Carter IV album and Tech N9ne’s new 6′s and 7′s album, as well as Eminem just recently announced he wants to collaborate with Tech N9ne again since they were on a song together around 12 years ago.

Where Matthew “M.C. Spy” Jensen comes into play is that he helps my label with every possible thing that needs to be done at a fast pace with no questions asked. He built our website, www.thescalebreakers.com and has directed us in using social networks and other means of marketing as well as assisted us in our long term goal of merging with a major record label, he has developed contracts, created investment proposals, developed sponsorship packages, put an online career management tool and “things to do” lists in place and has even contributed in the area of music production, just to name a few things.

New-Jazz Records would most definitely not be where it is without the amazing help and work he does for the company. What he has done and is doing to help this independent label is beyond words and we would be lost without him. I strongly recommend him to anyone who wants to do business with him, for the simple reason they are getting the best of the best.

When I was referred to Spy, I was taking a shot in the dark. But it was completely worth it. My experience with Spy is that he always knows what he’s doing. He’s well informed and well connected. If he doesn’t have an answer for something, he won’t leave you hanging. Instead he’ll go out of his way to find one. He goes out of his way a lot for the people he dedicates his time to. With the amount of things he has on the go at any given moment, for him to take the time out of his day to take my phone calls, answer my questions, give advice, and look into great opportunities for me; I’m very thankful.
